The USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) released its latest weekly grain shipment figures on Monday, July 22nd, showing numbers that align with market expectations for both soybeans and corn.
For the week ending July 18th, the US shipped 327,061 tons of soybeans, meeting the anticipated range of 130,000 to 400,000 tons. To date, the US has exported a total of 42.35 million tons of soybeans for the season, marking a 16% decrease compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, corn shipments for the week totaled 970,539 tons, also within the market projection range of 795,000 to 1,150,000 tons. This brings the total US corn exports for the season to 45.58 million tons, which is a substantial 33% increase compared to the previous year during the same timeframe.
