The Minister of Ports and Airports, Silvio Costa Filho, provided a detailed overview on Monday (March 11, 2024) of the planned investments totaling R$12.6 billion in the Port of Santos until 2028.

These substantial funds are slated to be sourced from the Union's coffers, the government of São Paulo, and private entities engaging in PPP agreements (Public-Private Partnerships) with public authorities.

In addition to the governmental contribution, private investments in Brazil's largest port are anticipated to surge by approximately R$8.7 billion over the next five years. Consequently, the government projects a comprehensive investment of R$21.3 billion in the port complex during this period.
