Soybean market in Chicago experiences a decline this Friday, with derivatives witnessing drops exceeding 1%.

Updated: Mar 25, 2024

Soybean prices experienced a notable decline on Friday (22) at the Chicago Stock Exchange. By 7:40 am (Brasília time), prices saw a drop ranging between 10.75 and 13.75 points, with May reaching US$ 11.98 and August at US$ 12.10 per bushel. Concurrently, derivatives witnessed a loss of more than 1% on the CBOT, intensifying pressure on grain futures.

The market underwent adjustments and profit-taking following the recent upward trends, albeit amidst anticipation for forthcoming developments.

Presently, traders are closely monitoring various factors including the impact of financial market information, excessive rainfall in Argentina, demand trends, and positioning themselves ahead of the USDA's upcoming area data release next week.
