The Brazilian Agriculture and Livestock Confederation (CNA) organized a seminar titled “Getting to Know the Chestnut Market in the Gulf Countries” on Thursday, the 25th. The event targeted rural entrepreneurs with an export-oriented profile.
This seminar was part of the Agro.BR Program, a collaborative effort between CNA and Apex Brasil. The program aims to enhance Brazil’s export agenda by providing training, export plan support, personalized consultancy, participation in business rounds, and assistance to Brazilian rural entrepreneurs in international markets.
Ana Fruci, a CNA consultant based in Dubai (USA), delivered a presentation on the nut market in the Gulf countries. During her talk, she highlighted the primary challenges related to positioning, logistics, and marketing.
“To succeed in these markets,” Ana emphasized, “differentiation is crucial. Establishing a unique market position can be challenging when competing against well-established international brands. Additionally, the geographical distance poses logistical hurdles for exports.”
Ana also stressed the importance of effective marketing strategies when entering
international markets. “Our international and regional offices play a vital role in overcoming these challenges,” she noted. “Exporters associated with Agro.BR gain proximity to key market players.”
Among the strategies discussed, Ana highlighted the use of the United Arab Emirates as a gateway to access the broader Gulf region. She also recommended active participation in regional fairs and events, as well as vigilant monitoring of market trends.
“Brands must pay attention to region-specific packaging and labeling,” Ana advised. “Quality certifications can serve as significant differentiators. Additionally, establishing local partnerships and finding reliable distributors are essential steps.”
At the conclusion of the presentation, business attendees had the opportunity to address their main queries. The seminar provided valuable insights for those navigating the complexities of international trade.
