SÃO PAULO (Reuters) - The National Association of Cereal Exporters (Anec) raised its estimates for Brazilian soybean and soybean meal exports this month, a period that usually marks higher grain export volumes from the country with the advancement of the harvest.
According to the report, soybean exports were estimated at 12.73 million tons, compared to 10.65 million estimated in the previous week. However, April shipments would still be 1.3 million tons below those recorded in the same period last year. Meanwhile, Brazilian soybean meal exports are expected to reach 2.45 million tons in April, up from 2.31 million in the previous week's forecast. If the projection is confirmed, Brazilian product shipments would increase by about 700,000 tons compared to the previous year.
